ALASKA PARTNERSHIP ACCESS LINE (A-PAL)
1-855-345-2725 or APAL@seattlechildrens.org
A-PAL is a free youth medication consultation line for Alaska’s primary care practitioners.
Practitioners can call or email for a free, formal consultation with a child and adolescent psychiatrist about evidence-based medication management. A brief written report is generated for the referring practitioner. A-PAL is available to nurse practitioners and physician’s assistants who prescribe psychiatric medication to youth:
5 – 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday
8 – 9 a.m. Friday
Outside of those hours, email or leave a voice mail and your contact will be returned within 24 hours.
Practitioners may call as often as they like during those hours. If the line is busy, leave your number and the psychiatrist will return your call, usually within the hour. Do not leave confidential patient information on voice mail.
