On this site you will find information intended to assist all who are interested in DHSS grants and services they support.

Competitive solicitations for grants will be posted on the state of alaska online public notice system.

 

DHSS grants are administered electronically via eGrants eGrants is the departments on-line grant management system. It is an invintation only system. IF you are awarded a grant from DHSS, you will recievean invintation, via e-mail, that directs you to the system. From there, you can track your agency grants, submit fiscal reports, view status of payments etc.

 

DHSS manages grants in accordance with: 7 AAC 78, Grant Regulations and 7 AAC 81 grant services for individuals. You can view these sections of the alaksa administrative code and all state of alaska regulations at the department, document library & legal resources or online at the alaska administrative code.

 

DHSS, in partnership with many non-profit agencies in alaska, have formed the grantee partnership project. Updates are provided quarterly via "Streamline" newsletter and also on the web site. This group has been working toward a common goal. of providing high quality services to the citizens of alaska. The overall goal of this project is to increase the effiency and effectiveness of DHSS grant-making processes in order:

  • reduce administrative burden for DHSS while ensuring adequate fiduciary control;
  • increase grantee/customer satisfaction; and
  • reduce the administrative burden for grantees to interface with the state.
