Healthy Alaskans 2020: 25 Leading Health Priorities
The 25 Leading Health Priorities (also known as 25 Leading Health Indicators) are a list of health goals for Alaska,
providing a science-based framework to guide efforts toward improving health and ensuring health equity for all Alaskans.
The 25 leading health priorities include:
- Reducing the rates of cancer, suicide, and interpersonal violence and sexual assault;
- Decreasing alcohol, tobacco, and drug use;
- Increasing disease prevention through vaccines, improved access to in-home water and wastewater services; and
- Lowering Alaska’s obesity rate.
