Health and Social Services, Providence Alaska Medical Services, Alaska Lung Association to open Alaska Tobacco Quit Line
Tobacco Quit Line Official Opening 10:00 a.m. Friday
Providence Alaska Medical Center, 3200 Providence, Anchorage
Health & Social Services Commissioner Jay Livey, Providence Medical Center Assistant Administrator Colleen Bridge, and Alaska Lung Association Executive Director Christie McIntire will officially open the Alaska Tobacco Quit Line at an event at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 31. Members of the media are invited to attend.
The Alaska Tobacco Quit Line is a statewide toll-free, no-fee counseling and referral service for all Alaskans seeking to become free of tobacco addiction. It will be managed through a call center at Providence Medical Center in Anchorage.
Following the opening, officials will tour the Quit Line call center.
