DHSS seeks public comment on revising Personal Care Assistant Program regulations
( Juneau, Alaska) — The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) is seeking public comment to assist the department on revising regulations to control and reduce costs of the Personal Care Assistant (PCA) program, as listed in the public notice dated May 13, 2005 and available online at http://www.hss.state.ak.us/publicnotice/regulations.cfm
The department will accept oral comments at a public hearing from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2005 at the Anchorage Legislative Information Office, 716 W 4th Avenue, Suite 200, Anchorage, Alaska. Individuals may also participate in this public hearing by calling (800) 395-5073. The hearing may be extended to accommodate those present within 30 minutes before the hearing is scheduled to close, if they have not had an opportunity to comment.
Once the comments have been received and considered, DHSS will draft regulations relating to the personal care assistant program.
Any proposed regulations related to the personal care assistant program will be publicly noticed at a future date. At that time there will be further opportunity for public comment in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act.
