July 4th holiday may result in delay of some Public Assistance checks
(Anchorage, Alaska) - The Division of Public Assistance reports the possibility of delay on checks for some public assistance recipients due to the 4th of July holiday weekend.
Affected programs may include: Temporary Assistance, Adult Public Assistance, Interim Assistance and Senior Benefits.
Recipients who receive benefits on the Quest card or via direct deposit will not be affected by mail delays.
To avoid mail delays in the future sign-up for direct deposit by contacting the Electronic Benefit Transfer Office (EBT) at: 1 (888) 620-1111.
